I was born in Paris in 1970 and grew up in the Picardy region. In addition to French (mother tongue), I speak German and English. I taught in Ireland for a year and in the United States for seven years. And, I habe lived in Basel since 2002.
Since graduating with a double master’s degree in English and French as a foreign language from the Université La Sorbonne in Paris in 1996, I have taught French to children, teenagers and adults in Ireland, France, the USA and Switzerland. I have experience at all levels, having worked in universities as well as primary, secondary and high schools. In August 2024, I completed further training in didactics from CAVILAM (Alliance Française).
In addition to teaching, I have been co-editor and co-author of the French language learning tool QTalk since 2015 and am still actively involved in the development of teaching materials (books, interactive games, grammar units).
In addition, I founded the company Parlhymage GmbH in 2023 to make QTalk available in Switzerland. Thanks to Parlhymage, teachers and students who want to teach and learn with QTalk can buy a license.
When I was introduced to this learning system in 1997, I immediately understood its instant and powerful impact on learning a foreign language.
